"The project is with regards to development of a wireless wearable ultrasound ECG heart failure screening tool.",
"The transducer and electronics of an ultrasound probe can be significantly optimized and simplified by careful design for a specific application. The FloPatch uses continuous wave Doppler ultrasound, with relatively simple electronics to produce a pressure wave from one of two identical transducers and process the echoes received by the other. We have developed functional prototypes with a miniaturized, wearable form factor and demonstrated their ability to measure changes in carotid blood flow. The challenge now is to make the device low cost, and therefore commercially viable.",
"Development of firmware and software for the commercial version of FloPatch.",
"This project utilizes FloPatch FP120's extensive clinical data to develop a machine learning algorithm for classifying cardiovascular disease features of Doppler blood flow. A 12-month endeavor, it involves data preprocessing, feature engineering, and development of an ML model, followed by rigorous optimization and clinical validation. Adhering to ISO 13485 standards, the team of five, including signal processing engineers and clinical scientists, will ensure compliance with FDA and Health Canada regulations. This initiative aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy in cardiovascular health, contri",
"This project aims to develop and validate machine learning algorithms that can automatically segment and interpret internal jugular and carotid blood flow signals captured by the FloPatch wearable Doppler ultrasound sensor. The resulting solution will provide clinicians with a non-invasive, objective tool to assess jugular venous pressure (JVP) and right heart function, improving fluid management in both acute and ambulatory care settings.",
"The funding provided by the IAP program is intended to assist innovative small and medium-sized enterprises in the start-up phase that cannot access existing commercial support related to COVID-19.",
"The goal of this project is to build brand awareness, educate potential customers, and generate leads for a wireless wearable ultrasound medical device through a digital content marketing strategy. The project will begin with market research and competitor analysis, followed by the development of a content marketing plan and editorial calendar. The digital strategy will focus on creating and distributing high-quality content across various channels, including the company website, social media, email marketing, webinars, and podcasts.",
"This project will evaluate the technical and commercial feasibility of adapting a Canadian-developed wearable hemodynamic monitoring system for defence applications.",
"This project aims to address critical subassembly failures in the novel transducer fabrication process. These failures, undetected during current quality control (QC) steps, have led to field device failures and reduced production yield. By leveraging computer vision and custom thermal testing technology, the project seeks to enhance the advanced quality control systems, improve production reliability, and ensure scalability of the fabrication process while maintaining cost efficiency.",
"The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.",
