   "Public Safety Canada, upon confirmation with the Ministère de la Sécurité publique du Québec, is making an investment to strengthen the physical capabilities of First Nations and Inuit police forces in the Quebec region that align with provincial policing priorities. This investment is part of the strategy to stabilize police forces under the First Nations and Inuit Policing Program (FNIPP), which began in 2022-23. This strategy was initially designed to address existing challenges of the FNIPP in the region, and its second phase will support the growth of First Nations and Inuit police forces"
