"The objective of the project is to advance livestock traceability in Canada by leveraging existing and new technologies to increase the quantity, accuracy and breadth of traceability data available in the Canadian Livestock Traceability System. This project proposes the generation and collection of novel traceability data which will be used to develop and provide better tools and information for government and industry.",
"The objective of this project is to assess the feasibility of associating individual animal tags to movement reporting. Automated data collection of individual sighted data events will be tested at livestock holdings and high-volume comingling sites.",
"This project aims to assess methods to automatically collect mass information from individual animal ID numbers. The testing is being done to prepare the industry for CFIA’s upcoming regulatory amendment to their Health of Animal Regulations (Part XV) which determines mandatory livestock traceability reporting.",
"The objective of this project is to improve traceability to the sector by providing a temporary premise identification (PID) number for use during transport of livestock where an official provincial/territorial PID has not been generated.",
"The objective of this project is for the CCIA requesting funding to modify the Canadian Livestock Tracking System (CLTS) database to also receive Ultra High Frequency (UHF) data.",
"The objective of this project is to assess the potential for ultra-high frequency technology to be used to improve traceability in Canada. The technology assessment would look at advantages and disadvantages of using the UHF platform for livestock identifiers and transceivers as a way to improve the speed, accuracy, and facility for collecting animal identification at all levels of the traceability system in Canada."
