"This project aims to convert food waste into high-value biodegradable plastics through optimized bacterial fermentation, offering a sustainable and scalable solution for organic waste management.",
"As part of the international consortium project “Eurostars 2521 NextPHAse”, this project will focus on producing and utilizing novel PHA (polyhydroxyalkanoate) building blocks from organic waste streams, to develop novel bioplastic resin formulations and high value applications. These formulations will replicate the properties of commonly used petroleum plastics and will be drop-in solutions for existing plastic manufacturing facilities. Manufacturing high value applications from waste derived PHA biopolymers will contribute to a circular and bio-based economy.",
"The objective of this project is to convert food waste, which would otherwise end up in landfills, into home compostable and marine biodegradable bioplastics called polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs).",
"Developing computational tools to create our 2nd generation synthetic PHA bacteria with greater efficiency.",
"The funding provided from the Innovation Assistance Program is to assist innovative, early-stage small- and medium-sized enterprises that are unable to access existing COVID-19 business support.",
"The funding provided by the IAP program is intended to assist innovative small and medium-sized enterprises in the start-up phase that cannot access existing commercial support related to COVID-19.",
"The objective of this project is to engineer specialized bacteria to transform food waste into compostable bioplastics.",
"The funding provided from the Innovation Assistance Program is to assist innovative, early-stage small- and medium-sized enterprises that are unable to access existing COVID-19 business support.",
"To optimize Genecis’ core technology at the Pilot scale, scale up to Demonstration scale, while incorporating new results from the Bench scale.",
"To optimize Genecis’ core bioplastics technology at the bench and pilot scale, and scale up to Demonstration scale, while incorporating optimized results from the bench scale.",
"Genecis uses bacteria to make premium materials affordable. Our first product line is a biodegradable plastic resin known as PHA (polyhydroxyalkanoates) used for high-end applications, like 3D printing filaments. Our proprietary technology reduces the PHA resin production costs by 40% by offsetting feedstock cost, lowering the barrier for plastic manufacturers to create healthy and affordable products. To date, Genecis has scaled up to pilot scale, and cultivated bacteria which has conversion rates that exceeds standard paid feedstocks used by traditional PHA manufacturers. The objective of t",
"Cultivate early adopters of Genecis' technology in the form of R&D or Proof-of-Concept projects. Our main target is chemical/plastic companies who are seeking to develop a new composite biodegradable polymer.",
"The purpose of this CanExport Innovation grant agreement is to support organizations and to build on targeted relationships between Canadian companies/researchers and key organizations in other countries to allow them to proceed with formal discussions to initiate collaboration(s) on future international R&D initiatives that could lead to commercialization of Canadian technologies.",
"The purpose of this Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP) contribution agreement is to support organizations and to identify specific projects or partnerships between the Recipient and international partners in CIIP target countries that could lead to industrial research and development cooperation with potential for commercialization."
