      "This project aims to address gender expertise capacity gaps within the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) by supporting two MINUSMA gender advisors, located in regional offices. The armed conflict in Mali has had a dramatic impact on women and children, contributing to an increased need to fully incorporate gender considerations at all levels. Integrating gender considerations, as well as promoting and implementing the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda are part of the MINUSMA mandate, and are necessary for a more effective peace operation."
