The objective of the project is to develop novel antibacterial products by combining silver nanoparticles with plant extracts known for their antibacterial effects, as well as a rapid, precise detection kit for detecting low concentrations of Pb in drinking water.
In order to produce medical grade gold and silver nanoparticles, the firm must improve its current production and product quality control methods; the demand for very uniform and certified sterile nanoparticles, i.e. without biological contaminants (endotoxin free), is very important, especially by university research centres in hospitals. The project will allow the acquisition of new human and material resources necessary for the implementation of new processes, in order to achieve and certify that the products have the required purity.
Synthesize gold and silver nanoparticles in a colloidal solution
Development of next generation of dental unit waterline disinfectants
The aim of the project is to develop formulation and to test their efficiency against N. gonorrhoeae.
The project aims to develop advanced chitosan–silver nanoparticles wound dressings with enhanced antimicrobial performance. The project will investigate synergistic combinations of chitosan- and silver nanoparticles to intensify antimicrobial action against antibiotic-resistant bacteria, while limiting silver concentration.
The project involves studying the European defence market for a wound-healing product
The aim of the project is the development of an antimicrobial absorbent pad with silver nanoparticles for food packaging containers.
The project will support development of intellectual property capacity within the firm.
The project will fund the development of the firm's intellectual property capacity
The purpose of this Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP) contribution agreement is to support organizations and to identify specific projects or partnerships between the Recipient and international partners in CIIP target countries that could lead to industrial research and development cooperation with potential for commercialization.
