Application of Acoustic Zoom's Experimental Non-Specular Seismic Imaging Technique for Defining Spatial Distribution of Discontinuities and Localized Features for Better Assessment of Ground Risks and Improved Safety in Mining Operations$260Kvalue2018start2019end

Acoustic Zoom Inc., will be adapting its technology to deploy it inside an existing underground mining room in the Rocanville mine in Saskatchewan. This would entail employing a novel upward-looking seismic source coupled to the roof of the mine and placing receivers throughout the workings to create the antenna grouping along with advancements in signal processing protocols. The intent is to specifically demonstrate to the Potash Mining sector, that the AZ technology can characterize the "Winnipegosis" consolidation formation and to delineate the presence of various complex, poorly defined, m

Development of an Optimized Ground Penetrating Radar with Advanced Beamforming Capabilities for Northern Pre-Route Commercial Land Surveys, Mine Detection, and Unexploded Ordnance Detection$256Kvalue2019start2020end

The goal of the project is to develop a novel Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) architecture that will provide unprecedented imaging of buried targets, such as landmines, unexploded ordnance, and to de-risk the determination of potential routes for the burial of fiber-optical communication lines in the complex soils of Northern regions. The primary focus of this project is the development of distinct new software modules for the Firm's ZoomSpace processing suite that enable unprecedented focusing and interference filtering, while delivering enhanced GPR imaging and augmented detection capability.

Acoustic Design for Micropile Characterization and Foundation Installation$62.1Kvalue2023start2024end

This project will advance a new concept in offshore acoustic imaging. The physics will be defined to address the requirements for high-resolution seismic beamforming of the geo-mechanical properties of the sub-seabed. The goal is to develop the acoustic imaging data acquisition and processing steps needed to characterize the formation volume surrounding micropiles supported platforms. The project will develop the acoustics as descending multiple sources generated from the advancements of a customized programmable impact drill. The design study will optimize the receivers' geometrical configura

Acoustic Zoom US & Australia Marketing$42.5Kvalue2018start2019end

Acoustic Zoom (AZ) developed technology with impactful application to the mining industry. To expose the technology to a wider market, we will target the next two largest active mining countries: Australia and the United States.

Conceptual Design and Development of a New Acoustic Approach to Image Blockages in Pipelines$39.6Kvalue2022start2023end

This project will explore a new concept into acoustic imaging of the build-up of hydrates in deep, extended subsea production and drilling flowlines. The project will study the application of acoustics to better understand what creates undesirable flow restrictions that lower performance and create operational risks. In addition, the influence on multi-spectral acoustics from density variances related to the hydrocarbon flow and internal build-up will be studied and used to capture changes along the length of the flowline.
