This project aims to facilitate the growth of an innovative, and profitable Canadian organic sector by resolving market access issues, ensuring Canadian organic products are competitive, building export capacity and developing domestic opportunities. Activities include conducting incoming and outgoing trade missions, participating at international tradeshows, providing technical training, hiring consultants, and administering marketing campaigns as well as supporting trade advocacy efforts.
The objective of the project is to resolve market access issues, to ensure Canadian organic products are competitive, and to build export and domestic opportunities for the “Canada Organic Brand”; while continuing to build public trust and a positive reputation for the Canada Brand.
Through the application of national and local priorities, the CSJ program seeks to provide youth, particularly those who face barriers to employment with access to work opportunities. Funded employers must demonstrate that they are providing quality work experiences for youth that provide opportunities to develop and improve their skills.
