Functional characterization of factors influencing natural killer (NK) cell activity against therapy-induced senescent solid tumor models$544Kvalue2021start2025end

Natural killer (NK) cells are lymphocytes that demonstrate cytotoxic activity towards cancer cells and are associated with good prognosis when present in solid tumors. In the past, NK cells have been used in adoptive cell transfer to treat various cancer with relative success. More recently, NK cells, modified with chimeric antigen receptor (CAR-NK cells), are being explored as potential off-the-shelf therapy and these have shown better efficacy and lower toxicity than equivalent CAR-T cells in pre-clinical animal models. However, mechanisms preventing the full cytotoxic anti-tumor activity of

Immunomagnetic capture of viral particles in biofluids$110Kvalue2021start2022end

Since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, the analysis of viral sequences isolated from patient samples has become essential for tracking virus variants and determining which mutations affect the viral proteins and influence its pathogenicity or its infectiousness. Purification of the viral particles prior to the required RNA sequencing would reduce the cost of sequencing and is less biased than alternative methods based on targeted sequencing or amplification of the viral genome. In this Project, the Recipient aims to develop protocols to optimize the purification of viral particles on the P
