Support product development activities for electric jet propulsion technology
Undertake development activities for an electric propulsion system for marine vessels
Undertake initiatives to mitigate the impacts of ongoing tariff and trade volatility
DuXion aims to develop a high power density electric propulsion system that is scalable to a number of applications ranging from UAVs to commercial aircrafts. At DuXion, the team is currently undertaking a 18 months R&D project to develop and test a scaled high speed ducted fan prototype to secure IP and advance the technology readiness level to commercialize its product and to create export opportunities.
In this project, Duxion will combine the empirical knowledge and technological advancements achieved from their scaled prototype and use it to advance future system architectures towards implementing a full-scale electric jet (eJet) engine demonstrator that can be flight tested and certified for manufacturing and sales.
Enhance technical capabilities to support product development efforts
This project use the insights gained from prototypes to establish a certification basis with Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA). This foundation will steer the development of our full-scale eJet unit, set the stage for potential type certification for flight testing.
