Demonstration of Commercial Grade Nano-technology Based Heat Pump$950Kvalue2025start2027end

Enersion will design, build, and demonstrate a commercial-grade, thermally driven heat pump at an Ontario College. The system, powered by solar and waste heat, will provide efficient heating and cooling without synthetic refrigerants, reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. This project advances Enersion’s technology from prototype to market-ready product, creates opportunities for Canadian clean-tech exports, and supports training for the next generation of sustainable energy professionals.

Eurogia - EU2030-24-17 HP - Hybrid heat pump that uses a 0 GWP refrigerant and 10 times less electricity$496Kvalue2024start2026end

As part of the international consortium project “HP”, this project will focus on addressing the energy and environmental crisis caused by air conditioning and heating by developing efficient, zero-emission cooling and heating technology solely powered by waste or solar heat. This involves integrating Enersion's novel heat pump technology with NovNat's advanced metal-organic frameworks, potentially reducing electricity consumption by over 10 times and offering significant cost savings while significantly improving performance.

Zero-Emission Off-Grid Cooling, Heating and Power for Mobile Demonstration$190Kvalue2022start2023end

Enersion will provide a mobile version of the Solar Trigeneration that directly converts solar thermal energy to electricity, cooling and heating for a portable office space for the purpose of demonstration. The unit would be installed on a portable office space that would be completely off the grid and yet obtain emission less heating, cooling and electricity.

Optimizing the design of Enersion’s chiller to transition from prototype to commercial product$146Kvalue2021start2022end

Enersion’s chiller is at a point of transitioning from a larger footprint validated prototype system to an optimized commercial system that would be made for sale to customers, as such there is additional development that is required to have a system that is designed for manufacturability and deployment. The goal of this project is Research, Development and Deployment, wherein R&D will be performed on two aspects: reducing the overall physical footprint of the system and developing an assembly/deployment method to make the system plug-and-play. The outcome of the project will be a pilot system

Green and Cost Saving Chargeable Cold Box$100Kvalue2021start2021end

The objective of this project consists of a portable cold box which allows produce to reach the desired temperature immediately after harvest, and then remain at the desired temperature throughout the storage and distribution phase.

Go to market strategy development for low carbon cooling and heating technology$75.0Kvalue2025start2026end

This project will develop a targeted go-to-market strategy for Energy Cubed™, a clean energy technology that provides ultra-efficient cooling and heating using waste heat or solar energy, by identifying high-potential market segments and engaging early adopters.

Cold Box Storage Prototype Development$50.0Kvalue2019start2019end

The project aims to develop a unique cold storage box using Enersion’s innovative cooling technology that takes advantage of surface physics to extend cold box cooling duration by 8 times that of the regular cold boxes. By the end of this project, Enersion will prototype a small sized box for high value products such as chocolate.

Innovation Assistance Program – Round 2$48.7Kvalue2020start2020end

The funding provided from the Innovation Assistance Program is to assist innovative, early-stage small- and medium-sized enterprises that are unable to access existing COVID-19 business support.
