Expansion of Capabilities and Features of Automated Chambers$292Kvalue2025start2027end

This project focuses on expanding the capabilities of the Firm’s eosAC line of automated chambers by shifting the data centralization role from third-party analyzers to the Firm’s multiplexers, allowing for greater analyzer agnosticism. With modifications to the Firm’s multiplexer hardware and software, this work will also introduce an open or steady-state chamber designed for reactive gas species, such as ammonia and VOCs, making the Firm the first commercial provider of this design. Together these changes will allow us to pursue a variety of opportunities involving known upcoming analyzer re

Agreement$203Kvalue2015start–end
Innovation Assistance Program$112Kvalue2020start2020end

The funding provided by the IAP program is intended to assist innovative small and medium-sized enterprises in the start-up phase that cannot access existing commercial support related to COVID-19.

Make Measurement, Longevity and Manufacturability Improvements to the eosFD gas Emissions Monitor$97.1Kvalue2020start2021end

This project will involve the creation of a second generation eosFD gas emissions monitor that will integrate knowledge gained from customer feedback and technical progress and insights since the first generation device was developed and released. Feature improvement in the next generation device will focus on implementing a new measurement method, improving the ease-of-use and maintenance, and integrating a new sensor cavity design that allows for the measurement of new gas species.

Modernization and Architectural Improvements to Instrument Software to Improve Scalability of Products Offered$92.5Kvalue2021start2023end

Develop a new, robust technological foundation and code base for all Eosense software applications, to ensure modern architecture and to improve software reliability and stability with new, value added features.

Instrument Trials and Modification for Sub - Snowpack Carbon Dioxide Flux Measurement.$48.8Kvalue2018start2019end

This project will use lab experiments, field testing and data analysis to examine the effects of snowpack on buried flux chambers. Modifications will be designed and tested to mitigate the biasing effects of snowpack.

Expanding Analyzer Compatibility of the eosAC Product Line by Advancing Firmware/Software and Hardware Interfaces$47.8Kvalue2022start2023end

This project aims to improve the compatibility of Eosense projects with products from related industry firm products by making the firmware and software of the chambers more cross-compatible, as well as by making the chamber hardware compatible with other signals and protocols delivered by third-party systems. The eosAC family of products from Eosense have been a key source of revenue and profit for the company. The number of annual sales are currently limited because of limited compatibility with third party analyzers for monitoring various greenhouse gases.

ICAP - Find a UK Based Co-Innovation Partner and Leverage International Regulations and Markets for the Firm’s “eosAC” Automated Soil Flux Chamber$44.4Kvalue2020start2022end

International Co-Innovation Action Program (ICAP) project - Globally the risk posed by the migration of ground gas from legacy human activities like coal mining and oil and gas exploration, as well as from natural geological events, is high. That gas migration can pose human health risks and is therefore heavily regulated in some highly-populated areas, like the United Kingdom. Eosense Inc. provides equipment that could be used in those regions to measure ground gas migration and emission, as well as the associated potential climate and air quality risks and thus indicate the relative threat t

Design, Prototype and Test a new Transparent Flux Chamber$40.4Kvalue2018start2019end

This project is intended to design, build and test transparent flux chamber prototypes. These chambers will encompass recently established academic best practices for measuring ecosystem respiration.

Increase Efficiency by Improving Production and Quality Processes$37.0Kvalue2018start2019end

This project seeks to revise and refine the Firm’s production processes through the creation of software/hardware tools, to reflect recent improvements in product calibration and verification testing. In addition to the individual process improvements, this project will also seek to unify and better link currently disparate procedures under a common framework.

Youth Hire - Science and Engineering$30.0Kvalue2025start2025end

This project focuses primarily on improving internal production and quality processes, including methodology, tracking, and documentation. Identifying and developing tools and resources to support these process improvements will also be a primary objective, in order to enhance efficiency and consistency. Together, this work will help improve the scalability and productivity of the firm's production of our main eosAC product line.

Youth - Develop and Test Sensor Prototypes for Monitoring Gas Emissions at Oil and Gas Facilities$29.4Kvalue2021start2022end

This project will focus on developing, testing and performing pilot projects with new and improved instrument prototypes for the monitoring of methane and other greenhouse gas emissions in the oil and gas industry.
