This project aims to identify and implement optimal, innovative antimicrobial solutions to combat Listeria monocytogenes and Escherichia coli in the Canadian agri-food industry. By validating these solutions under both laboratory and industrial conditions, the project seeks to enhance food safety, reduce the incidence of recalls and associated costs, and improve the overall quality and reputation of food products, all while addressing consumer demand for natural alternatives and minimizing health and environmental risks.
Marketing strategy and acquisition of equipment: The project aims to increase the sales, and improve production at a company specializing in antimicrobial agents.
Technological and commercial development of natural antimicrobials for food processing to prevent and eliminate all microbiological contamination of food.
Working Capital: In the context of the crisis caused by the pandemic at COVID-19, the project aims to ensure the continuity of operations of a company that specializes in food safety.
Production and commercialization activities: The project aims to produce and commercialize natural antimicrobial agents for the food industry.
Development of a broad-spectrum natural antimicrobial to meet the needs of the cosmetics market
Technological and commercial development of natural antimicrobials for food processing in order to prevent and eliminate all microbiological contamination of food.
Development of an oligopeptide with a broad spectrum of action to inhibit the alteration strains typical of cosmetic products.
This project aims to develop an antimicrobial solution targeting coliforms in order to broaden the protective coverage against pathogenic food contaminants.
ARP - Formulation of antimicrobial bio-ingredients based on natural and synthetic bacteriocins
Development of a new antifungal/antimicrobial technology for marine and cheese products.
Development of a broad-spectrum antimicrobial solution to extend the life of fresh foods, while avoiding the use of chemical agents.
Development of broad-spectrum, natural, clean-label, food-safe bacteriocin formulations. Currently, chemical no-rinse washing solutions are used in industries. These solutions are made from chemical ingredients that impact food or are very expensive. Bacteriocins have the advantage of having no impact on food, are versatile and our patented process allows for affordable production.
Development of a peptide synthesis process allowing high yield cleavage of antimicrobial candidates.
Development of a peptide-based antimicrobial solution to provide a disinfectant effect on the skin. This solution could be incorporated into cleansing creams to prevent infectants that can, among other things, cause acne.
The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.

The project involves scaling the fermentation and drying process of a natural antimicrobial agent.
Development of a new formulation of antimicrobial bio-ingredients based on natural and synthetic bacteriocins. These bio-ingredients will be used for the agri-food industry to replace chemical preservatives.
Through the application of national and local priorities, the CSJ program seeks to provide youth, particularly those who face barriers to employment with access to work opportunities. Funded employers must demonstrate that they are providing quality work experiences for youth that provide opportunities to develop and improve their skills.
