NBI performs tests to uncover the gut microbiome and provides a detailed clinical report and counselling related to gut health, food, nutrition and bacterial composition to improve patient’s health. The current process and analysis developed stands as a foundation and assets of Nucliq. However, to serve thousands of customers these processes need to be automated in a way that it reduces the burden of dependencies on the company. The automation of the Gutcheck process is essential not only for scaling up but also to produce high throughput quality sequencing data for performing advanced microbi
The human microbiome extends beyond the gut, with vaginal and oral microbial ecosystems playing vital roles in systemic and reproductive health. Nucliq Biologics, through its flagship platform Gutcheck, is pioneering precision microbiome analysis. Building on Gutcheck’s success, and to address the growing demand for integrated, multi-site testing that can provide individuals and clinicians with a more holistic view of health, this project focuses on developing and validating a vaginal microbiome testing module, the first step toward integrated, multi-site microbiome profiling. By incorporating
This project advances microbiome testing through 2 additional assessment products and metadata evaluation for drug discovery. This initiative strengthens microbiome analysis, personalized health insights, and future therapeutic advancements.

Nucliq Biologics Inc. is a St John’s, NL- based biotechnology company leveraging its knowledge of molecular and functional interactions between the microbiome and the human body to understand and develop microbiome-based test kits and therapeutics. We have designed and developed the Gut CheckTM analysis kit, a home testing kit for gut microbiome analysis. For the current project, we will identify the channel leads in the Atlantic provinces and increase the no. of channel partners such as health practitioners, naturopaths, senior homes, sports and nutrition, and holistic approach organizations.
Improve B2B partner requirements (including fungal and parasite detection) and to expand the customer base to include younger customers by establishing an enhanced set of tests in the lab.
