Quantum error correction for characterizing quantum noise and understanding theoretical physics$660Kvalue2025start2028end

This project explores quantum error correction as a cutting-edge quantum technology for noise characterization tasks and study its interplay with theoretical physics including quantum matter and quantum gravity. The first part aims to design quantum error correction (QEC) protocols for learning correlated quantum noise, leveraging properties of quantum errorcorrecting codes to uncover high-weight noise components. Additionally, QEC methods for suppressing noise on ancillary qubits for a series of ancilla-assisted quantum learning algorithms will be investigated. In the second part, quantum cod
