A retrofit and expansion of an existing cultural building in Pictou, NS that includes a new modern public library, expanded event space for a theatre, visual arts exhibition facilities, and office/meeting space for community groups. The facility will host over forty organizations that deliver services to equity-deserving groups on a regular basis.
The Town of Pictou wishes to create a safe walking route between a residential area and a popular community general store. There is currently no sidewalk access from the residential areas to a popular convenience/grocery store located directly across from the intersection; crosswalks are inconveniently and unsafely positioned.
