This project will drive overarching objectives of ReelData’s technology roadmap to create solutions for land-based aquaculture that leverage AI to support fish farmers. The products focus on key elements of raising fish: feeding optimization with ReelAppetite, reliable measurement of growth over time with ReelBiomass, sensor driven stress indicators with ReelStress, and visual health indicators with ReelHealth. Each of these products can work on a standalone basis, but used together, will drive efficiency in operations and increase the welfare for the farmed fish. Collecting a previously unobt
ReelData is expanding it's AI infrastructure to accelerate commercialization of advanced analytics and anomaly detection, improving fish welfare, farm efficiency.
This project is designed to understand the feasibility and scope of what is needed to develop and then bring to market a product that can provide land-based farms with an easy-to-use and understandable metric that can provide a real-time comprehension of how healthy their fish are. Furthermore, farms will also be able to use this metric in a time series to pinpoint when exactly health issues started to change, so they can then learn and apply mitigation factors in future incidents.
Establish a production facility for its aquaculture monitoring technology.
We propose a project that can be broken up into individualized segments (Feeding, Biomass, Health and Sensors), when combined, are the framework that will allow for autonomous production of fish for the rapidly growing land-based aquaculture segment. The focus of this project will be to develop the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and optimize the neural network for autonomous feeding of land-based aquaculture, which uses computer vision, deep learning and software Application Process Interface’s (API’s) to allow farms to minimize wasted food and feed fish with Artificial Intelligence (AI).
