Low Profile SCR for Data Centers$88.0Kvalue2019start2020end

Data Centers use diesel engine based generators to provide electricity to the site in the event of grid failure. Typically these diesel generators are installed in pre-fabricated metal enclosures allowing rapid deployment and easy scalability. Air emission regulations are increasingly requiring the use of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to reduce the amount of NOx coming from the engines. These SCR systems tend to be big and bulky and are installed on top of the enclosure that houses the engine. This arrangement requires a a relatively time consuming on-site installation of the SCR

Noise Mitigation for Megawatt Class Engines / CARB Approval$78.2Kvalue2020start2021end

Megawatt Class engines are typically used to provide electrical power generation for on-site use. Common applications are for hospitals, universities and data centers. Megawatt class engines can have high exhaust noise. The purpose of this project is to provide a noise control system for this class of engines and ensure that the mitigation for high frequency noise utilizes a product which is CARB (California Air Resources Board) verified.

Narrow Profile Selective Catalytic Reduction System$73.8Kvalue2022start2023end

Megawatt Class engines are typically used to provide electrical power generation for on-site use. Common applications are for hospitals, universities and data centers. This product could be a “break-through” development for the Company. Normally Safety Power’s business is project driven – on a given project an engine dealer may choose Safety Power or one of its competitors as the emission control supplier. This new product development would allow Safety Power to “design in” its emission control equipment with a major company. This “design in” activity requires complex certification through the

Develop advanced controls hardware and software package for large German based engine manufacturer. Software package will include the neuralNOx(r) software which will will be developed using Safety Power's extensive realtime database of engine emissions. Hardware will include implementation of Safety Power's latest urea delivery and purge system. If successful this development may result in the German company using Safety Power's control technology as part of their overall engine offering.

Urea to Ammonia Converter for Large Scale Non-Road Equipment$48.0Kvalue2018start2019end

The project will result in the creation of a urea to ammonia gasifier that can be used to improve NOx reduction on large engines used in the power generation and heavy equipment industries.
