Village Media plans to develop an integrated social networking platform into our existing Community Publishing Platform ("Villager") called SPACES. This new technology will take the best elements of other platforms such as Facebook (Groups), Nextdoor, and Reddit and weave them into the fabric of a a local news platform, all while using modern day AI/ML engines to accelerate scale and efficiency. Village Media will extend our proprietary publishing platform (Community Engine) with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning engines in order to build audience, engagement, and newsroom efficiency across our operations.
With rising costs, a slow economy, and the threat of tariffs continuing, Village Media plans to develop a project designed to help people save money in their local community. As part of the custom Villager platform, Village will develop a local commerce portal. The portal will gather data from local grocery stores, gas stations and other retail outlets and allow local readers to optimize their local shopping behaviour.
To extend the Village Media Publishing Platform to focus on data capture, analytics/analysis and ad serving capabilities within the proprietary environment – to enable expansion of Village Media’s core business (media) as well as the continued expansion of our platform licensing offering.
