Eureka Network - E!13426 3DMESH project with Leonardo Helicopters (UK) - Use of 3D data optimization software to speed up the data preparation pipeline for converting CAD data into optimized content for AR/VR.
Design and develop a platform that streamlines the process of converting large 3D data sets into optimized content for downstream applications.
As part of the international consortium project “E!18927-Data for Digital Twins-Streamlining 3D CAD data preparation pipeline for digital twin applications”, this project will focus on developing a streamlined data preparation pipeline for a digital twin project for the automotive industry. To create an accurate and detailed representation of the customer's equipment, CATIA files, which is a type of 3D CAD file, will be imported into Unity using the proposed data preparation pipeline. These files contain information about the physical attributes of the equipment, such as its size, shape, and m
This project solves the mesh optimization problem by automating UV baking process to achieve file size reduction for applications that require visualization of large CAD files.
Expand market opportunities for 3D visualization platform in Europe, Canada and USA
This project supports a youth and concerns the design verification and validation of new feature/functionality recently implemented in Meshmatic, a 3D data-optimization software application that expedites the conversion of Computer Aided Design (CAD) files into optimized content for Augmented Reality (AR) / Virtual Reality (VR).
Through the application of national and local priorities, the CSJ program seeks to provide youth, particularly those who face barriers to employment with access to work opportunities. Funded employers must demonstrate that they are providing quality work experiences for youth that provide opportunities to develop and improve their skills.
