Enhance drug discovery technology platform through automation and AI integration
As part of the international consortium project “CIIP Korea - AlePDD - AI-enabled Peptide Drug Discovery”, this project will focus on the integration of two technology platforms enabling development of cyclic peptide-based drug candidates by a combination of the AI-driven QUEST platform of Quantum Intelligence Corporation (QIC; Korea) and the GEL-Discovery Engine of 48Hour Discovery Inc. The integration will be achieved through coordinated and iterative efforts to find and optimize cyclic peptide-based drug candidates.
The proposed project will develop a new high-value service client; this involves establishing “synthesis and validation of hits” at 48Hour Discovery INC (48HD). The deliverable from achieving this objective is an extremely valuable investigational new drug (IND) enabling discovery pipeline. The pipeline consists of I) genetically-encoded library technology (BiGEL2) for the discovery of bicyclic ligands for cell-based targets, II) high throughput synthesis of selected discovered ligand, III) measurement of binding and specificity profile and IV) permeability assays. These scaffolds are stable a
This project will help 48Hour Discovery further develop its Artificial Intelligence driven system for predicting drug leads with strong binding affinity for drug discovery. The project will add value to 48HD’s service offerings through improvements in binding affinity rates and optimized protocols for affinity maturation libraries.
48HD employs DNA-encoded libraries and deep sequencing to accelerate the discovery of new drugs. This project will use machine learning to identify interactions of proteins and new chemicals, resulting in models to predict potent new drugs.
A full time office and lab manager will be hired to organise and streamline operations. This manager will be responsible for building an online system for invoice and purchase orders, and for ordering lab supplies, shipping and receiving and for arranging meetings with clients and staff.
