CIIP-CHINA-Precision Agriculture: with Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, and Spatio Map Information Technology Co., Ltd.. To develop a real-time, robust system for plant health monitoring services including remote detection of plant diseases during early developmental stage in a large crop field or greenhouse, mobile solution for real-time disease diagnosis, and disease management via application of vaccine
The objective of Phase II of the Greenhouse Pepper Vision System is to improve the design and address issues encountered in Phase I. In addition, data tracking for all aspects of the system will be conducted in Phase II to provide a benchmark in performance and reliability of the system.
The objective of the project is to design a visioning system for detecting stress in greenhouse peppers. The end product is to be integrated with Konnexio’s greenhouse robotic platform to deliver an integrated monitoring system for greenhouse grower use.
Development of attenuated grapevine leafroll associated virus – 3 (GLRaV-3) by gene edition of the wild-type GLRaV-3 strain for protection of grapevine plants against the infection of virulent GLRaV-3 in field.
The attenuated grapevine leafroll-associated virus 3 will be developed by mutagenesis and tested for protection of GLRaV-3 free tissue culture against the infection of wild-type GLRaV-3 in the field.
The tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV) is an emerging disease threatening tomato industry by deteriorating fruit quality, reducing shelf life and making fruits unmarketable from 30% to 70%. ToBRFV can overcome all known genetic resistance genes resulting in all commercial tomato varieties being susceptible to the virus. Efforts to manage ToBRFV currently focus on using certified seed and maintaining strict biosecurity and sanitation practices. We have developed some attenuated ToBRFV strains that will be tested for the efficacy to protect tomato plants from the infection of wild-type ToB
