The Firm intends to conduct Lean Manufacturing/Productivity Studies and implement improvements at its Point Rousse gold processing plant. Included in that effort, the Firm intends to apply Lean principles to the Maintenance Department to develop accurately detailed maintenance plans and scheduled tasks. Once the preventative maintenance plan is designed and implemented there will be less waste (time, materials, etc.), less rework (jobs have done correctly the first time), all work performed will be value added, to name a few of the Lean principles that apply directly. The implementation of pre
There are numerous (geometrically) challenging mineral deposits throughout Newfoundland, Atlantic Canada and North America that could potentially benefit from a new approach to mining. The Firm believes that the Narrow Vein Mining technique it is currently developing in affiliation with a local partner has great potential to develop an economic solution to the mining of such deposits and considers it a revolutionary approach to mineral extraction using a Fragmentation-in-Place concept. During its Fragmentation-in-Place drilling process, large amounts of the water will be used down the hole to
The goal of the project is to create a geochemical fingerprint of gold occurrences within and associated with the Nugget Pond Horizon of the Baie Verte Peninsula by systematic mapping and sample collection at numerous gold occurrences, prospects and the Nugget Pond Mine followed by whole rock and ICP analysis of the samples and the interpretation of the data. A report will be generated from the project work and the findings will be integrated into an exploration model for ongoing gold exploration in the region.
This project will entail the hiring of two Youth to develop a monitoring program for water quality, air quality and noise centered around the development of the Argyle Gold Deposit by determining the associated baseline levels. This provides the platform for continued monitoring once mining activity begins.
Anaconda Mining will excavate a 10,000t underground ore bulk sample at its wholly owned Goldboro project in Nova Scotia. The ore will be retrieved from an existing development which is currently flooded. The Youth will be monitoring the dewatering system setup and operation while the water is being pumped from the existing decline to the polishing pond. He will be taking water samples to ensure compliance with current regulations and ensuring that environmental and safety compliance is achieved at the construction/mining site during this period.
The project will involve hiring a Youth candidate to ensure environmental and safety compliance during a bulk sample extraction exercise at Goldboro gold project in Nova Scotia. The tasks may include but are not limited to water sampling, shipping and receiving samples, reviewing the results and communicating with the management team and following the regulations.
