This project is mostly related to technology research and development.
Phase 2B scope will expand on the preliminary model framework for onshore wind energy and Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) developed in Phases 1 and 2A. Phase 2B will expand MESO to include real-time data integration, offshore wind energy and additional energy storage technologies, specifically; Diabatic Compressed Air Energy Storage (DCAES), Pumped Hydro Storage, Hydrogen and Battery storage. Two key focus areas in phase 2B include: • Offshore Wind Energy: Extend analysis capabilities to offshore wind projects, including transmission infrastructure and sourcing offshore wind speed data.
Undertake initiatives to mitigate the impacts of ongoing tariff and trade volatility
The intent of the proposed project is to develop the early framework of an Energy System Optimization Model which will be a Clean Energy Optimization tool with the capability of being customized for a provincial, national or even global meteorological applications.
Undertake business development efforts to increase export market potential
The proposed work will expand on MESO's development in preparation for commercialization. Two key focus areas in Phase 2C will be to: • Engage representative users to test MESO using defined case studies with known results. Feedback will be solicited from users and co-innovation partners in order to identify key areas for improvement, flag bugs and discrepancies in results, and to provide insights related to user experience. • Participate in targeted conferences and B2B meetings to expand the reach of MESO's potential user base.
The intent of the proposed project is to develop the early framework of an Energy System Optimization Model which will be a Clean Energy Optimization tool with the capability of being customized for a provincial, national or even global meteorological applications.

The purpose of this CanExport Innovation agreement is to support Canadian organizations to carry out activities related to pursuing opportunities that would lead to establishing new collaborative Research and Development (R&D) partnerships between the Recipient and foreign organizations in order to support R&D on the Recipient’s technology and advance its commercialization.
This project is designed to evaluate the application of passive autonomous technology in support of meteorological and oceanographic monitoring and prediction for Newfoundland and Labrador's offshore.
The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.
Angler Solutions proposes a youth employment project to support the continued development, validation, and applied use of its in-house Model for Energy Systems Optimization (MESO).
The project will support the Firm's internal research and development activities and ongoing commercialization efforts related to renewable and hybrid energy systems.
The primary focus for this position will be supporting the validation and testing of MESO on a wider, external scale to solicit feedback from potential users and identify any issues that may exist in the latest version of the software. This project will also be used to gain insights on desired future capabilities that are considered to be priorities for specific user groups.
