CQCP: Development of a scalable and useful Canadian quantum computing platform
Achieving fault-tolerance through brute-force error correction schemes is expected to require a superconducting quantum processor with millions of physical qubits. While recent experiments have successfully demonstrated the feasibility of error-correction in principle, the hardware overhead seems prohibitive for a commercially relevant machine. In this project, the firm will introduce an alternative pathway to achieve fault-tolerance with superconducting qubits that has the potential to significantly reduce the error-correction overhead.
Development of a quantum processor to reach quantum supremacy where the quantum processor has the potential ability to solve problems that classical computers practically cannot.
Marketing strategy: The project aims to increase the sales of a company specializing in the design of superconducting quantum computing solutions and advanced detection technologies for the defence sector.
Qubit calibration is a critical step in ensuring quantum computers can produce results with high fidelity. Optimal control parameters for running quantum circuits may differ from one device to another and can drift over time. The firm is developing calibration approach based on deep-learning techniques in order to optimize the qubit calibration process.
E!23249 - Q-BCE -Benchmarking, Characterization, and Error Mitigation for Superconducting Quantum Processors, in collaboration with Israeli company QHIPU. The company aims to develop robust software tools for benchmarking, characterization, and error mitigation of superconducting quantum processors. These tools will integrate into quantum control stacks to enhance the performance and scalability of next-generation quantum computers under development.
Commercialization strategy: The project aims to commercialize technologies resulting from the research and development of an innovative company in the quantum computing sector.
Commercialization strategy: The project aims to commercialize an R&D technology as part of the start-up of an innovative company in the quantum computer sector.
