The purpose of the project is to provide legal information to the Francophone population of Nova Scotia through the development and dissemination of five radio vignettes and to educate young Francophones in the province about the functioning of the justice system through a mock trial.
The Association will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Official Languages Act and the anniversaries of the creation of the Association and the Centre Access Justice by gathering various stakeholders to an event which will address various themes related to official languages and family law. The organization will also take the opportunity to promote its services related to access to justice in both official languages.
This project will enable the Association des juristes d'expression française de la Nouvelle-Écosse to administer a survey from the website of the Bilingual Legal Information Centre of Halifax. Those who use the Centre's legal services will complete this survey. It will collect data on the relevance and appreciation of these services. This data will contribute to a better understanding of the extent to which the Access to Justice in Both Official Languages Support Fund is achieving its objectives.
