Barreleye - Costs Management & Solver Efficiencies$435Kvalue2022start2025end

Project #1 for NRC IRAP focused on scoping and building an algorithm for water movement through a constrained network. Project #2 for NRC IRAP is a continuation of the first project and will have two objectives: one involving Costs Management and the other involving Solver Efficiencies. Costs Management Using our newly built water movement algorithm, costs will be layered on top of this with an intent to optimize the movement of water based on costs. Solver Efficiencies The algorithm that was implemented will have to be manipulated in a variety of ways to ensure more robust usability includi

Scenario Analysis and System Hydraulics$350Kvalue2026start2026end

Barreleye Ltd. develops software that optimizes water use in oil and gas operations. The proposed Scenario Analysis and System Hydraulics project expands Barreleye’s platform with economic scenario analysis and engineering-grade fluid dynamics modeling. These tools allow producers to evaluate alternatives to freshwater while validating the economic feasibility of using recycled produced water, brackish water, or blended solutions instead. Scenario planning informs short and long term investment decisions that accelerate the transition away from the requirement of, or reliance on, freshwater. S

Water Management - Operations Functionality$125Kvalue2025start2026end

Barreleye is building an "Operations" suite of functionality which will empower teams to plan, execute, and adapt water logistics in real time—ensuring water is delivered on time, cost-effectively, and without risk. Hydraulics will balance pressure, rates, and pump efficiency, while minimizing capital costs. Generic job management will ensure clear communication between field teams, vendors, and headquarters via Firm's mobile app. Which will ensure live updates on water movements, allowing for on-the-fly adjustments to prevent downtime. By digitizing execution workflows and integrating real-ti

Phase 1 - Water Management Planning and Development$49.5Kvalue2021start2021end

The oil & gas industry manages a tremendous amount of water and for a company to manage all water successfully, they must solve water sourcing, disposal, and recycling problems. Phase 1 of Barreleye's development solves the water sourcing problem. The NRC IRAP project focuses on the algorithm being built for the waterflow through the system from sources to projects. The algorithm is being built to move water while taking into account constraints including rates, dates, capacities, and volumes. Once this is complete, a back calculation engine will be layered on top to ensure water can begin mov

Foresight ICAP 2024 – International Co-Innovation Action Plan$49.4Kvalue2024start2025end

This International Co-Innovation Action Program (ICAP) project will prepare the firm to enter into future international co-innovation work.
