This project will support the firm’s development of 2 separate platforms for in vitro diagnostic test kits for infectious diseases that enable detection of disease antigens at industry leading speed. The project will also support the development of a number of new Point of Care (POC) or Self Test (SF) built upon the two new platforms, as well as the development of new processes for bioproduction and for automating the manufacture of the test kits
This project will support the firm to design, develop and validate a one-minute test for the qualitative detection of total SARS-CoV2 antibodies in human fingerstick blood, to be used as a self-test and/or at the point of care. It is anticipated that the test could be used for multiple purposes, including for serosurveillance of populations or as an aid in diagnosis of SARS-CoV2 infection in conjunction with clinical presentation and the results of other tests.
This project will develop a rapid point of care diagnostic test designed to detect hepatitis C virus (HCV) antibody and/or antigen from human blood, plasma and serum.
This project will complete the late stages of development and analytical validation of a one-minute rapid point of care diagnostic test designed to detect hepatitis C virus (HCV) antibodies from human blood, plasma and serum in preparation for clinical trials and regulatory submission.
Aptamers are DNA or RNA constructs designed to specifically bind to a desired target. This project is designed to develop aptamers that target the HCV Core protein and perform initial analyses to determine if aptamers can be used in future rapid diagnostic test kits.
Expanding the 1-minute INSTI HIV Self Test distribution to high burden countries to provide an affordable and realistic solution for ending the AIDS epidemic by alleviating barriers due to its privacy, speed, simplicity and accuracy.
The purpose of this project is to provide employment for a recent Biochemistry graduate in the role of Scientific Affairs Assistant in a cutting-edge biotechnology company developing rapid point of care diagnostics.
The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.
This Youth project will provide employment for a recent graduate in the role of a product development associate for an R&D and manufacturing company focusing on the development and commercialization of rapid test kits for detecting viral infections.
