Scaling of advanced manufacturing platform for production of coated current collectors$5.4Mvalue2025start2029end

This project is mostly related to technology demonstration.

E!22895 - Free Chlorine Sensors- Development of Free Chlorine Sensors for Pool Water$268Kvalue2025start2026end

As part of the international consortium project “E!22895 - Free Chlorine Sensors- Development of Free Chlorine Sensors for Pool Water” this project will focus on developing robust sensors for real-time measurement of free-chlorine levels in pool water. Part of Calumix’s technology has been shown to respond to changes in free chlorine concentrations in water at the laboratory scale. A lot more work is required to optimise these materials and fully characterise performance, with the goal of developing a robust sensor technology that could be deployed in automated pool chemistry management sys

Carbon coater data pipeline$65.7Kvalue2025start2026end

To research, develop and test the data infrastructure and methods required to collect, ingest, cleanse, normalize, process, analyze and manage data such we will be in position to commercialize this technology as the Single Point of Truth (SPOT) for downstream systems and equipment.

Development of a prototype coating line to produce nano-engineered foils for Li-ion batteries$54.5Kvalue2021start2022end

Calumix is a company newly formed to manufacture nano-engineered inter-facial coatings on substrates. This project will focus on preparing thin, highly conductive coatings on the metal foil substrates used in Li-ion batteries.

Scale-up of Prototype Coater$24.0Kvalue2023start2024end

Calumix currently operates a prototype coater for preparing sample carbon coatings on aluminum foil and polymers. The equipment is currently limited to ~50m roll lengths due to design limitations. Longer rolls are required for customer sampling to allow them to make production level samples. Our plan is to modify to coater design to allow for production of longer rolls (up to ~ 500m in length). Once these modifications are complete, there will be a need to confirm performance and then produce multiple rolls of different compositions for sampling to customers.
