The goal of this Project is to develop membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) at scale, comprised of advanced ionomers which allow for high efficiency and durability in an optimized CO2 electrolyzer architecture. This Project leverages progress made at the University of Toronto (UofT) and Simon Fraser University (SFU) in device and material development. At UofT, tremendous progress has been made in terms of system, cell, and component design. At SFU, expertise in the creation of new materials and extensive material screening and characterization for CO2 electrolyzers has allowed creation of a hi
CERT Systems has developed a technology for conversion of carbon dioxide captured from air into ethylene. In this project, CERT will demonstrate a fully integrated system for converting atmospheric CO2 into high purity ethylene that can be upgraded into fuels or polymers.
CERT Systems has developed technology to convert carbon dioxide emissions into high value chemicals such as ethylene. In this project, CERT Systems will work with a business development expert to identify potential customers and craft a go-to-market strategy for its sustainable products.
CERT Systems has developed a technology for conversion of carbon dioxide captured from air into ethylene. This Air-to-Chemicals (A2C) process involved ambient CO2 being captured in a hydroxide solution as liquid carbonate. This liquid carbonate is fed directly into CERT's proprietary electrolyzer which converts the captured CO2 into ethylene using electricity and water as feedstocks. In this project, CERT will demonstrate the scalability of its process by adapting technology demonstrated in 5 cm2 reactors to electrolyzer cells of 200 cm2. These cells will additionally be stacked to further in
As part of the Japan Corporate Co-Innovation Program, the project “CNCORE” will focus on collaboration with Japanese partner to explore opportunities to enter the Japanese market with CO2 conversion technology.
This International Co-Innovation Action Program (ICAP) project will prepare the firm to enter into future international co-innovation work in Germany.
The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.
The Project will support development of intellectual property capacity within the Firm.
