The purpose of the project is to develop, consolidate and enhance various protection works to protect the local population from the floods which are now becoming more frequent (twice in three years above the 1 in 100 years mark) and to protect the essential services and infrastructures of the towns regrouped in this project. It includes acquisition of land in the flood zone, construction of a dyke in Deux-Montagnes on 0,8 km with a height of 25,71 m, and enhancement of the pluvial network in the flood zone.
