As part of the international consortium project “LARSEN”, this project will focus on an innovative means to accelerate the response of safety assurance processes to changes affecting regulated technology.
To identify and evaluate how Generative AI can be used to support safety and cybersecurity assurance cases so more useful and cost-effective analysis can be realized.
To develop a software tool for analyzing complex systems to identify safety hazards and cyber security vulnerabilities that arise from unwanted feature interactions.
Assurance case arguments are increasingly used in defence and a variety of other industries to provide confidence in the safety and/or security of a system, product or service. This project will increase the efficiency and repeatability of maintaining structured assurance arguments over a group of related assets.
To develop new “argument patterns” that can be automatically applied suing software to improve reasoning about autonomous systems in developing assurance cases.
This project will yield a highly innovative tool-based solution to the challenge of analyzing complex systems for safety hazards and cyber security vulnerabilities that arise from unwanted “feature interactions”, with applications across a variety of technology sectors.
