UK E!13279 PA64 led by Oxford Lasers UK - The primary objective of this project is to advance a manufacturing process for a high-resolution miniature ultrasound probe for guided surgeries. To overcome the current prohibitively complex and expensive manufacturing process, this project will implement next generation micro-laser technology.
E!115393 EDUCAIT project with LabTau from France and led by Daxsonics Ultrasound Inc. (Canada) to design and prototype an intracorporeal, transgastric endoscope that can produce ultrasonic cavitation in any part of the pancreas. The intended use of the device is to treat pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) in conjunction with other standards of care, including chemotherapies and immunotherapies.
Through the past two years, we have seen an increasing number of medical device companies pushing ultrasound into smaller spaces. This includes smaller incisions for minimally invasive surgeries, increased complexity for 3D imaging or multiplane imaging, robotic intervention, and intravascular and intracardiac imaging. By developing new methods for micro interconnects, Daxsonics will be able to develop transducers for mounting on catheters and being incorporated into robotic surgery applications.

This project will take an ultrasound beamformer and undergo technical updates to ready the equipment for deployment.

The new team member will be trained on our current development, build, and test processes. This will allow our team to further refine our best practices for each phase of a transducer build.
This project is to help the firm make critical adjustments to their business model, conduct market validation, and customer discovery sessions in light of changing market conditions.
This hire will improve, document, and maintain our current equipment maintenance plan. The equipment in our facility requires regular attention in order to run as expected and efficiently. Process development will be a key portion of this position once the hire is trained to use all of the equipment. This hire will also be responsible for maintaining stock levels for use with the equipment.
