Funding will support research and development to identify solutions to National Defence’s Challenge: Lighting the path with AI: Advanced analytics and decision support for first responders. Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) in collaboration with Canada’s safety & security communities are seeking to advance the application of promising advanced decision support technologies including, but not limited to, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), intelligent sensors, wearable technologies, Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity technologies (e.g. 5G, Long Range (LoRa)), a
The focus of this proposal is an extensive on-orbit demonstration of the TIR imager capabilities including the performance of vicarious calibration demonstrations, a ground truth campaign, and the demonstration of TIR data products. In support of the on-orbit activities, EarthDaily Analytics Corp. proposes to conduct supplemental testing on an EM TIR imager to fully characterize the system and enable optimization of system performance.
As part of the international consortium project “NADIR”, this project will focus on a commercial release of the NADIR platform integrated into the Earth Data Store (EDS) infrastructure, offering new data (from the EarthDaily Constellation (EDC) and from Project Partners) and features to support natural disaster management information and intelligence services for NADIR partners. The project focuses on the development of advanced analytics products, algorithms, and simulations to improve wildfire management accuracy and support fire propagation modelling.
Thermal infrared images from satellites have applications that are increasingly important as the global climate changes, including detecting agricultural water use and crop health, environmental monitoring, and wildfire detection. Accurately imaging in these wavelengths is much more challenging than imaging visible light; the satellite and lens glow from blackbody radiation, causing errors in the product that must be carefully removed. Expensive large satellite missions accomplish this with complex calibration systems installed on the satellite. These satellites, due to construction expense, a
This project will implement a proof-of-concept and a feasibility validation of the ability to use space-based Earth observation (SBEO) data to quantify both the amount of phosphorus phytoextracted and carbon sequestered for a set of varied field trials carried out in the Lake Winnipeg basin. The project will set the foundations for a follow-on project to perform advanced application development to further demonstrate and refine the capability in the context of broader scope and reliability as a beta service in preparation for full commercialization and operation of upcoming global multi-spectr
This project evaluates dual-use opportunity for satellite-derived soil moisture and vegetation moisture analytics in terrain mobility and environmental operational risk assessment.
This project is to help the firm engage with European partners and develop co-innovation partnerships with European multi-national enterprises (MNEs), industry leaders, and key global value chain actors, through the EUREKA ITEA Cluster.
The purpose of the Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP) grant agreement is to support Canadian SMEs identify international partners in CIIP target countries for industrial research and development collaboration that has good potential for commercialization.
Participation in the ITEA PO Days held in Helsinki, Finland, Sept 12-16, 2022. Delegation led by the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to establish relationships with key customers, end-users, and other international firms, which will help set the stage for potential Canadian projects in the upcoming EUREKA ITEA Cluster call for proposals.
