Design, implement and test a dual-mode high-performance radio system suitable for both military tactical communications and remote/rural, industrial, mining and emergency response broadband infrastructure operations.
Design, implement and test a solution that employees a rapid searching and locating algorithm and a real-time tracking mechanism for connecting with one or more peer wireless nodes. All nodes in the wireless network are in full mobile operation at vehicular or airborne-speed and are equipped with electronic-steerable narrow-beam antennas.
The object of the project is create a high-performance modular antenna system for a mobile wireless communication device such that: - the antenna system can be constructed from one or more antenna modules - each module is built with a common set of radiating elements - different desired antenna radiation patterns and beam directions of the antenna can be formed through electrically controlling the individual elements by software
The objective of this project is to architect a new radio frequency receiver design through modelling, simulation, prototyping and experimentation. This new receiver is to achieve industry leading co-channel receive frequency selectivity and high adjacent channel rejection to allow for high-speed data transmission/reception performance while preserving the best possible spectrum efficiency usage.
The objective of the project is to design and develop a mechanical alignment system that is tightly integrated with a wireless communications system to allow for both manual and automatic positioning of high-gain, narrow beam antennas to quickly establish and reliably maintain highspeed wireless data connectivity over long distances well over 100km.
To develop a consistent and responsive algorithm for displaying a dynamic network topology in real-time when the exact network node locations are only partially available or completely missing.
