This project is developing a high-performance membrane for drinking water and potable water reuse applications. It can be a post-treatment process after FibrePlate MBR.
Fibracast membranes are designed to have an impact on Water, Energy and Air Pollutants.
The project consists of developing the next generation Fibracast Membrane Treatment Process for membrane bioreactors (MBRs), by using the existing FibrePlate membrane as a basis but modified and operated in such a way as to maximize its productivity. We believe that well operated, the FibrePlate membrane can not only be competitive but even be disruptive enough to be considered the next generation membrane.
This IRAP project would consist of developing the concept and demonstrating the feasibility of using the FibrePlate sheets to make low pressure nanofiltration immersed membranes. Since 2015, Fibracast’s ultrafiltration sheet has been successfully used for ultrafiltration (UF) in membrane bioreactor applications (MBRs). Its small footprint and capability to handle solids is appreciated by our Municipal and Industrial clients. We believe that the same base polyester sheets could also be used to support a low pressure nanofiltration membrane (NF). And if the concept is applicable, we would be
The demonstration project will be used to validate and demonstrate the FibrePlate2 product. We will push the membrane to outperform itself and competitors at a demonstration scale.
Fibracast membrane has been successfully used for applications in membrane bioreactors (MBRs). Fibracast would like to integrate its superior technology for new applications. Demonstrating and optimizing the technology for these application is a key step to enter this new market and significantly expand our sales. Fibracast would like to collaborate with Waterspin (an Italian integrator of membrane technology) to demonstrate in Italy and optimize its technology for this new application
The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.
Project Fusion supports Fibracast’s manufacturing innovation to create the Company’s next generation membrane bioreactor (MBR) product technology. This project will create process as well as material selection innovations that will establish a competitive advantage in the global MBR .
This project will test hypotheses and experiment with new mechanisms to design (or optimize) a repeatable and scalable business process, which may result in new business methods for online digital channels.
