To develop artificial intelligence-powered high definition maps for 10 major cities in Ontario to enhance autonomous vehicle infrastructure.
GeoMate will develop advanced AI capabilities as extensions to its existing RealSimE platform for Automated Driving (AD) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) simulation and validation.
The project aims to enhance GeoMate's HD mapping platform to make it commercially ready for the Autonomous Vehicles (AV) and Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) markets. The project will focus on improving the platform's positioning accuracy, accelerating map generation processing speed, and developing an error flagging mechanism for quality assurance. Additionally, a user-friendly tool will be developed to efficiently convert GeoMate's maps to the industry-friendly standard format. The project's successful completion will result in a more cost-effective and efficient HD mapping platfor
Implement new strategies, channels, and outreach approaches to GeoMate’s marketing and sales.
As part of the Japan Corporate Co-Innovation Program, the RealSimE MVP will focus on leveraging GeoMate’s advanced aerial AI mapping technology with a Japanese MNE.
GeoMate will advance its AI-powered RealSimE platform to support defence applications by enabling rapid generation of simulation-ready digital twins of mobility corridors and critical infrastructure. The project aligns with Canada’s priorities in autonomous systems, digital transformation, infrastructure resilience, and secure supply chains. By strengthening domestic capability in AI-driven geospatial intelligence and modelling & simulation, GeoMate contributes to Canada’s defence industrial capacity and sustainable economic growth.
GeoMate will use other source of geospatial data to move towards a more scalable solution for localization in Autonomous Vehicles (AV) and Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) applications for road vehicles.
GeoMate is applying for youth hiring funds to support the onboarding of two early-career professionals in software engineering and computer vision. These new hires will contribute to the development of GeoMate’s AI-powered geospatial platform, focusing on real-time mapping and 3D data processing for smart mobility and autonomous vehicle applications. The project aims to foster youth employment in advanced technologies while accelerating innovation in spatial intelligence and urban simulation.
Through this co-innovation project, we aim to collaborate with a German simulation or AD technology partner to validate RealSimE’s integration in simulation workflows. Our platform offers a lightweight, LiDAR-free alternative to traditional HD mapping, making it ideal for simulation environments that is suitable for both precision and scalability.
This project is to help the firm engage with European partners and develop co-innovation partnerships with European multi-national enterprises (MNEs), industry leaders, and key global value chain actors, through the EUREKA ITEA Cluster.
The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.
GeoMate is hiring a recent graduate Cartographer through the IRAP New Graduate Program to enhance its geospatial mapping capabilities. The project focuses on developing high-accuracy 3D maps for autonomous driving (AD), urban planning, and simulation applications. The new hire will support GIS data processing, aerial imagery analysis, and vector map creation, contributing to AI-driven mapping solutions. This initiative aligns with GeoMate’s mission to advance smart city infrastructure and mobility technologies while fostering innovation in Canada’s geospatial industry.
The BDM would be responsible for prospecting sales and qualifying leads for new and existing accounts. They will act as a relationship between our marketing and sales teams. They should be naturally curious, results-driven, and eager to bring our product/services to new markets.
The GIS Developer will be responsible for automating analysis of vector and raster data/observations by developing geospatial functions using open source libraries, and delivering the technical solution. Familiarity with OOP programming concept as a developer with advanced level skills in Python programming and working with Git is required.
