Smart Operation System for Concrete Industry
This project focuses on developing a cutting-edge solution for real-time tracking of raw materials used in concrete production, such as cement and aggregates. Giatec is developing technology to generate operational and environmental improvements in the construction industry. This project focuses on developing a solution to further improve the quality of concrete and reduce its environmental impact. Additionally, the system will generate Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) on an ongoing basis, ensuring accurate, up-to-date environmental impact data. This innovation aims to improve efficie
RRRF funding will be used to support Recipients to address the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A new sensor will be developed for accurate and real-time monitoring of concrete performance during the early construction stages. This technology will be used to optimize mixtures that results in low carbon concrete.
To build artificial intelligence software that utilizes existing data feeds and historical data from Giatec sensors to predict concrete performance and minimize cement and concrete additives used in construction. The outcome will be to reduce time to achieve concrete performance, reduce cost of concrete and substantially reduce the production of greenhouse gases from concrete use. The total value that this technology bring to various stakeholders in construction will be around $10/m3.
EUREKA E!13292 CONCRETE AI PLATFORM Giatec is seeking IRAP support to develop an AI-enabled data management platform for ready-mix concrete producers. The platform utilizes algorithms that are capable of collecting data from unstructured sources (e.g. weather conditions, transit conditions, hand-written batch/delivery tickets) along with data from embedded sensors and independent user inputs, in order to predict concrete performance and to formulate concrete mixtures with optimized constituents; leading to significant savings in cement usage and subsequently cost. The goal of the project is to benefit from the extensive Betotech domain expertise in raw material monitoring, concrete mixture development, historical data, and testing facilities, to develop algorithms which will incorporated into Giatec's product platform. The outcome will be to provide customers with concrete sensors and software that can perform: (a) the prediction of concrete mixture performance variations attributed to raw material changes and (b) the optimization of concrete mixtures in terms of cost and carbon footprint attributable to changes in material characteristics.
As part of the international consortium project CIIP - UK Multisector - E3D-RMC, this initiative aims to develop and pilot a scalable, eco-friendly 3D concrete printing (3DCP) solution using recycled materials. The goal is to construct sustainable, low-carbon modular housing units that address housing shortages, while showcasing advanced manufacturing through real-time sensor integration and AI-driven mix design optimization.
The funding provided by the IAP program is intended to assist innovative small and medium-sized enterprises in the start-up phase that cannot access existing commercial support related to COVID-19.
We will focus on five key markets in the Middle East: Qatar, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Israel, Turkey, and Lebanon. Our definition of success in the Middle East for this project is to expand our network of local Dealers.
Giatec is looking to replicate our success in Chile in five other markets within Latin America. We will use the World of Concrete international trade-show as a training ground to onboard new Dealers for the region.
The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.
