As part of the international consortium project "UK Multisector - BioM - MICRO-HTUO”, this project will focus on the validation of the AtomForge platform through the development of a novel treatment for Osteoporosis. The project will demonstrate the real world performance of the platform for use in drug discovery and optimization applications, while demonstrating a more rapid drug discovery method that couples the platform's experimental predictions with the UK partner's experimental methods.
The project involves adaptation and validation of algorithms to extend the physics-based platform to perform Free Energy Calculation.
The project will build upon the completed base physics engine to develop and validate a set of tools and algorithms to utilize the platform in various applications, including molecular dynamics, protein-protein simulations, and relative binding free energy calculations.
The project will involve the development and optimization of a high-accuracy molecular modeling platform for accuracy, speed and scalability for designing or modify drugs for targets, including small and large molecules.
The project will implement and scale key components for a molecular modeling platform that can be used to design or modify drugs, and is capable of providing high-resolution insight into the interactions between molecules, beyond the existing abilities of commercial competitors.
The Graduate will be given the task of scaling a prototype/proof of concept analytical system to handle industrial scale molecular simulations, enabling proprietary software to run efficiently with large molecules that will be relevant to prospective customers.
