This project will expand KA Imaging's in-house developed X-ray acquisition software portfolio for security and defence applications to meet increasing export demand in Canada and NATO countries.
KA Imaging is already selling a first generation dual energy X-ray detector to hospitals in Canada, USA and five other global markets. For this project, we will build a second generation portable dual energy X-ray detector using mechanically flexible sensors to reduce weight and dramatically improve ruggedization. Moreover, we will integrate AI algorithms with the detector for rapid, remote X-ray diagnostics of disease until a full diagnosis can be made by a trained radiologist. The commercial prototype will be demonstrated at a high profile remote clinical site and will create an opportunity
This project will develop a portable, retrofit-capable, dual energy X-ray detector for the screening and monitoring of COVID-19.
