The Project will construct a new dam downstream of the existing dam and will be equipped with a new spillway and instrumentation/monitoring systems to better manage the reservoir levels and outflow volume from the dam. Additionally, the project will significantly reduce economic losses and disruptions in the community that would be created from a washing out of the TransCanada highway due to dam failure.
