MEOPAR advances scientific capacity to observe, predict and respond to marine environmental and technological changes and enhance the resilience of ocean-connected communities and industries.
This project aims to investigate key aspects of sea level rise, ice sheet melting, and global ocean circulation by identifying dense water masses and examining coastal-offshore interactions. Research activities will leverage state-of-the-art technologies, including a containerized CTD-Rosette system, a dedicated chemistry lab, and an autonomous surface vehicle for bottom mapping near glacier fronts.
