This project is designed to develop novel bio-nutritional and bio-fertilizer technologies with the target of improving crop yields. This will be completed by increasing nutrient use efficiencies and tolerance to abiotic stress (drought, heat, salt and cold). These technologies will aid in farmer competitiveness in a more sustainable way.
The project’s goal is to develop new technologies that will improve a crop’s tolerance to abiotic stress (drought, heat, salt and cold) and nutrient use efficiency resulting in improved more sustainable yields. Various combinations of bio-stimulants (plant extracts, cofactors and small molecules) will be investigated in combinations for additive and synergistic positive growth responses with various fertilizers in control and drought conditions.
The project will investigate novel combinations of bionutrients/biostimulants with micronutrients to address significant agriculture unmet crop needs.
The Project will support pilot testing of AI strategies, determine target architecture and quantitative technical objectives for implementation of an AI solution.
