To improve water quality and prevent non-point source pollution in priority sites across York region, within the East Holland, Rouge and Don River watersheds.
Through the application of national and local priorities, the CSJ program seeks to provide youth, particularly those who face barriers to employment with access to work opportunities. Funded employers must demonstrate that they are providing quality work experiences for youth that provide opportunities to develop and improve their skills.
This contribution supports the implementation of targeted Redside Dace surveys and a quantitative Ontario Stream Assessment Protocol (OSAP) Study at current and historically occupied reaches of the Rouge River Watershed in Rouge National Urban Park.

This grant supports Ontario Streams in the implementation of targeted Redside Dace surveys at current and historically occupied reaches of the Rouge River and West Duffins Creek Watersheds. While surveys adjacent to Rouge National Urban Park indicate Redside Dace presence, observations of the species within the park boundaries are minimal. These surveys will provide updated species observations and identify occupied reaches and abundance of Redside Dace in the park.
