Commercialization strategy and productivity enhancement: The project aims to support the growth of a company specialized in the development, manufacturing and commercialization of patented hyperspectral and infrared imaging instruments.
Industrialization of an automated hyperspectral optical scanner for drill core analysis.
The second biological window (NIR II) is a region of the optical spectrum where biological tissue transparency is optimal. Photon has pioneered instruments for this window by proposing the first microscope (IMA IR) and the first preclinical imager (IR VIVO) to the research community. This project will see the development and prototyping of new in vivo NIR II sensing and imaging modalities.
The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is seeking an innovative in situ (on site) sensing technology for identification and quantification of microplastics in water, which will enable the development of new techniques for monitoring microplastics in Canadian waters.

Planning and demonstration of new Canadian infrared and hyperspectral cameras for defence and security applications.
Acquire knowledge necessary for the development and commercialization of an airborne hyperspectral platform capable of visualizing and analyzing objects difficult to perceive with current technologies (petroleum or chemical products, camouflage), and seeing through degraded or obscured environments.
The second biological window (NIR II) is a region of the optical spectrum where biological tissue transparency is optimal. With the advent of new instruments for this region, like our preclinical imager IR VIVO, the research community is racing to develop new probes and contrast agents. The current project will allow the development of a new automated infrared multiwell reader, including new laser sources, optics and spectrometer.
The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.

Through the application of national and local priorities, the CSJ program seeks to provide youth, particularly those who face barriers to employment with access to work opportunities. Funded employers must demonstrate that they are providing quality work experiences for youth that provide opportunities to develop and improve their skills.
The purpose of this Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP) contribution agreement is to support organizations and to identify specific projects or partnerships between the Recipient and international partners in CIIP target countries that could lead to industrial research and development cooperation with potential for commercialization.
