PolyUnity has created and validated the initial commercial version of its Additive Manufacturing as a Service (AMaaS) solution for the healthcare sector. Over the next 24 months PolyUnity plans to scale current operations moving from platform and service validation into commercialization and growth. This will include attracting and onboarding new clients which will expand the number of users and products on PolyUnity’s i3D.Health platform. This proposal includes a series of major activities designed to support the expansion of PolyUnity’s platform capabilities and researching new materials te
Enhance commercialization capacity and undertake marketing activities to accelerate growth
PolyUnity Tech Inc. delivers value and benefits to healthcare organizations via a complete Additive Manufacturing as a Service (AMaaS) solution that reduces the cost, time and complexity of traditional healthcare procurement and supply chain management and directly improves patient service levels & outcomes. There are many industries that have already adopted 3D printing technologies, and others that are starting to follow suit. 3D printing is ideal for prototyping, small to medium scale production and specialized/customized part manufacturing. A barrier we have seen in healthcare is not the cost of 3D printers, but the lack of user-knowledge. Organizations are keen to incorporate 3D printing but lack the expertise of how to do so. Our proposed solution (PolySystem) is offered through a Software as a Service model, being composed of a library of digital 3D printable products (PolyBase), and a QMS/

The PolyUnity business model is to develop an online marketplace of medically validated, guaranteed 3D printable, medical simulation files to sell to the health care industry. The existing processes for delivering this product-line are limited by scalability due to the lack of automated processes and heavy reliance on direct human-to-human contact for information flow. This project will see the development of a web application which is designed to more adequately meet corporate and market needs.
The funding provided from the IAP program is to assist innovative, early-stage small- and medium-sized enterprises that are unable to access existing COVID-19 business support.
The Product Engineer will be critical in implementing and testing the new hub and partnership with the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). Following the success of this initiative, we will expand to additional hospitals in Ontario. The Product Engineer will play a key role in the next phase of PolyUnity where they will assist in designing, researching, and developing products for an ever-increasing product catalog offering. Additionally, they will take part in the development of new technology and software tools used to automate the design and production of 3D printed products.
This project is designed to continue with the creation of an online repository of web-accessible, medically validated, 3D printable, medical simulation files for purchase. Using the iterative design of two new models as the basis for development, a web application based on the sophisticated needs of PolyUnity’s target clientele will be created.
