The transparency of the glass is detrimental to the safety of the birds. It does not allow the birds to see the obstacle to be avoided and the birds collide with the surface. An effective method of protecting birds is to create visual markers to indicate the presence of glass to the birds. Visual markers are most visible when placed on the outer surface of the glass in a sealed unit. During the tempering process, it is necessary to be able to obtain markers that are resistant to contact with the rollers in order to preserve the low-emissivity coating on the other surface.
