To support the development of new and advanced technologies to create new therapeutics.
As part of the international consortium project “Platforms for GPCRs - Novel technology platforms for computational design and cell-based screening of peptide libraries targeting orphan GPCRs”, this project will focus on ProteinQure and Orbit Discovery developing a new discovery platform for peptide therapeutics to drug previously undruggable, orphan G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs). The result will be new capabilities and products for ProteinQure to market. ProteinQure's Artificial Intelligence platform will design custom libraries containing over 500K peptides, and these peptides will be
To develop novel quantum algorithms to help improve the quality of their supervised machine learning models for drug simulations.
ProteinQure uses Canadian cloud compute to advance PepQure, an AI diffusion model that designs optimized therapeutic peptides for drug discovery.
ProteinQure is planning to pursue 2 internal drug discovery programs. Starting with five targets we have researched extensively we will perform two core activities to help select two internal targets as finalists. Those two activities are validating experimental literature finding and computational validation of initial structural models. We will then design the first generation of molecules for those two specific disease targets using our computational platform and test them via contractors. The resulting molecules will be key for future fundraising efforts and eventually be commercialized (b
ProteinQure is going to show the potential of its SORT1 delivery platform by demonstrating the ability to cure Trodelvy/Enhertu resistant Triple Negative Breast Cancer (the most deadly form of breast cancer with no treatments). This IRAP project will involve the design and creation of animal models based on patient samples (PDX) which recapitulate acquired resistance to Trodelvy/Enhertu. While simpler PDX models would be sufficient for regulatory purposes, more advanced models increase the commercial potential and likelihood of success for the SORT1 platform in TNBC.
The funding provided from the Innovation Assistance Program is to assist innovative, early-stage small- and medium-sized enterprises that are unable to access existing COVID-19 business support.
The funding provided by the IAP program is intended to assist innovative small and medium-sized enterprises in the start-up phase that cannot access existing commercial support related to COVID-19.
We are building the infrastructure (both hardware and software) at the core of our computational platform for high throughput peptide design. These tools will allow us to design and evaluate small proteins in-silico given some objective. They represent the automation and improvement of workflows to enhance biologists and drug discovery experts. These tools will be able to analyze >10^4 proteins quickly and display relevant information for comparison. They will be automated across commercial cloud services and incorporate leading benchmarking algorithms.
We are expanding the infrastructure (both hardware and software) at the core of our computational platform for high throughput peptide (small protein) design. We are expanding the capabilities of our tools to further expand the range of projects we can take on. We are adding the ability to work with non-natural amino acids and flexible docking algorithms. We expect this to unlock prospects of discovering proteins that are impossible with existing methods.
