To develop and commercialize a quantum-safe cybersecurity suite for financial, government, telecommunications, and cloud services industries.
Quantum Cluster States are a fundamental resource for quantum information processing. Different cluster states can be used for universal quantum computing, quantum repeaters and quantum sensing. While the generation of those states has been proved to be remarkably hard, recent developments in the manipulation of so-called Quantum Dots (QD) allow for completely new directions in the generation of photonic cluster states. Single QDs can be used to deterministically generate a few types of arbitrarily large cluster states, which can be fused together via linear optical circuits to generate larger
As part of the international consortium project “DSKENet”, this project will focus on this project 'kills two birds with one stone', addressing the above two problems of single point of failure and scalability. This innovation combines DSKE by Quantum Bridge with QKD systems made by Toshiba's Cambridge Research Lab into 'one stone'. Whereas DSKE is ideal for a secure long-distance backbone network, fibre-based QKD is highly feasible in metropolitan networks with distances less than 500 km. The integration of DSKE with QKD will allow QKD systems to be used for secure delivery for "
Quantum computing offers exponential speed-up to some key computing problems. Photonic graph states are an important resource for the realization of quantum computing. A major challenge to photonic graph states is to work out an efficient algorithm for its generation. In this project, researchers will develop algorithms for such an optimization. Robustness to noise during the generation process will also be considered. The research may lead to a useful software tool that can perform such an optimization.
Existing key management systems using Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technology are based on trusted relays in order to overcome the distance limitations of QKD solutions. This approach has a strong drawback: the attack surface of these systems is proportional to the number of the nodes, as a single compromised relay can potentially learn the keys of all users. This project will implement a different approach to integrate Twin-Field (TF) QKD in scalable infrastructure, by relying on a distributed trust architecture named Distributed Symmetric Key Exchange (DSKE). The combination of DSKE and TF
The purpose of this CanExport Innovation agreement is to support Canadian organizations to carry out activities related to pursuing opportunities that would lead to establishing new collaborative Research and Development (R&D) partnerships between the Recipient and foreign organizations in order to support R&D on the Recipient’s technology and advance its commercialization.
The firm wishes to develop, implement and optimize a digital/growth marketing strategy to benefit the firm with its sales revenues, increase product awareness and reduce sales and marketing costs. The market for quantum-safe communication is becoming hot, and the company aims specifically to: (i) become a thought leader in the space, leveraging the decades of experience in their co-founders; (ii) increase awareness about the quantum threat; (iii) increase engagement with customers and partners.
The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.
