Advancing a Selective EGFR-TKI Inhibitor to Overcome Drug Resistance in Lung Cancer$144Kvalue2026start2027end

Rane Pharmaceutical is developing novel small molecule therapy to treat drug resistant Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). Over 30,000 Canadians are diagnosed annually with this type of lung cancer. Conventional treatments face drug resistance which remains a major barrier with no current secondary options. Having validated novel compounds, Firm intends to develop a therapeutic that addresses a massive unmet need of cancer drug resistance.

Development of Novel Chemical Reagents for Commercialization to Cannabis Testing Labs$49.0Kvalue2019start2019end

Upon completion of the project, Rane will have new reagents that can be useful for the detection of cannabinoid active ingredients (THC/CBD) in the cannabis industry. This reagent can be used by non-technical persons to determine the potency of cannabis for recreational and medical purpose. This knowledge can be extended for the development of insecticides and pesticide in the agriculture and forestry field.

Product and Business Development of Novel Lipid Molecules for Drug and Vaccine Delivery.$25.0Kvalue2022start2022end

Rane Pharmaceutical has been actively involved in lipid manufacturing since 2016. During the recent Covid-19 pandemic, some novel lipid molecules became the key ingredient in developing mRNA and DNA-based vaccines against Covid-19 (SARS-CoV-2). There is also an increased interest in expanding the mRNA/DNA-based therapies into developing novel drugs for cancer and other rare diseases. We plan to meet this increased demand by developing our large-scale production capacity and investing in additional resources (Scientist / Business development and Infrastructure) to create rare and novel lipids.
